Terms & Conditions
Last updated 16 September 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of nanaberchie.com and any purchase, enquiry or commission made with Nana Berchie trading as Nana Berchie Design Rituals (“we”, “us”, “our”), trading as Nana Berchie Design Rituals. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these terms.
Who we are
We are Nana Berchie trading as Nana Berchie Design Rituals, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. Correspondence: hello@nanaberchie.com.
Using the site
You may browse the site for personal, non-commercial use. You must not misuse the site, attempt unauthorised access, scrape content at scale, or use it in a way that damages our systems or other users. We may update, suspend or withdraw any part of the site without notice.
Works, descriptions and handmade variation
We offer original sculptures, limited editions, commissions and studio experiences. Photographs and descriptions are provided carefully, but handmade ceramics involve natural variation in surface, colour, texture and form. Such variation is part of the work and is not a fault.
Availability, edition details and pricing shown on the site may change. A work is only reserved or sold when confirmed through the checkout or written agreement process described below.
Ordering and payment
Ready pieces purchased via Buy are processed through Shopify checkout. Payment is taken by Shopify and its payment partners. A contract for a ready piece is formed when we accept your order (usually by order confirmation or fulfilment of payment clearance).
Enquiries and commissions are not completed purchases until terms, price and timeline are agreed in writing (including by email) and any deposit or payment schedule set out in that proposal is met.
Prices are typically shown in pounds sterling (GBP). Shipping, duties, taxes or specialist handling may be additional and will be confirmed before purchase or in a commission proposal where relevant.
Shipping and delivery
We deliver within the UK and internationally. Packaging and transport depend on the size, weight, value and fragility of each work. Larger or significant pieces may need specialist art handling or custom crating.
Shipping arrangements and costs are confirmed before purchase or as part of a commission proposal. You may arrange your own shipment if preferred and agreed with us. Risk in the goods passes in accordance with the shipping method agreed; please inspect works on arrival and contact us promptly if there is transit damage.
Studio experiences
Studio experiences may be booked through links on the site. Booking, scheduling and payment for experiences may be handled by a third-party booking provider. Cancellation and refund rules for experiences are set out in our Returns & Refunds Policy and in the studio FAQ on the site.
Intellectual property
All site content - including text, photographs, logos and design - and the artistic works depicted are owned by Nana Berchie Design Rituals or our licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from our content or sculptures without prior written permission, except as allowed by law.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under English law. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability arising from any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected. See our Returns & Refunds Policy for how faulty or misdescribed goods are handled.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
